Why these records are useful
RICS recommends retaining installation details, calculations, roof-work information, warranties or guarantees, independent certificates where relevant, and photographs and condition records from before, during and after work. The checklist turns missing items into questions rather than treating them as defects.

What the checklist does
Tick only whether a record is already available. The tool groups missing items by the person best placed to answer the question and keeps every selection in this page session.
What it cannot decide
The checklist does not inspect the roof, determine whether removal is required, predict lending, calculate a price or send data. Cornwall Council states that some installations do not require removal and that removal does not guarantee mortgage approval.
